Message from the Headmistress

We are pawsitively privileged to welcome you into our pack. We are tremendously proud of our reputation for top quality canine education at the Homeward Hound Canine Academy. There are many pawssible reasons for our ongoing success – one of them is the high set of standards that we unleash in all of our canine students. We encourage the development of individuality in each set of paws; however, the ability to interact successfully with other canines and humans alike is considered equally as important.

While there are many doggy daycare facilities throughout the Lower Mainland, Homeward Hound stands alone in that we provide a fun, yet structured environment for the canine students through a balance of academics and athletics.

Our Pawsitive Leaders are delicately chosen through a vigorous application process to ensure that they uphold the standards of excellence that Homeward Hound embodies. Each Pawsitive Leader is trained in positive reinforcement training techniques and cherishes each dog as they would their own.

Thank you for your interest in Homeward Hound Canine Academy.

Carolyne Hardy

What our Graduates are saying...

Our twelve year old dog Rocky has thrived at HHCA where he has been welcomed with open arms into the pack. Rocky became blind when he was 19, and as a result, became quite afraid of other dogs and people. HHCA allowed Rocky to find himself again and regain his confidence through training, daily adventures and encouragement. Thank you, Homeward Hound Canine Academy. for truly unleashing his potential.

__________

Our dog Rico is an 8 year old rescue dog having experienced years of abuse and neglect. We did not believe it was possible for Rico to adjust to our home. Over months of rehabilitation, Carolyne's knowledge of animal behaviour and her experience in working with so many different kinds of animals showed us that with enough love and patience, anything is possible. While sometimes still fearful, Rico has learned that there is a happy place for him in this world.
